51-year-old Will Read, a Britain's Got Talent performer known for his role in the comedy act The Showbears, has passed away after a battle with cancer. Will Read, who also toured Europe with Gloria Estefan's band in 2013, died at his Macclesfield home on August 7. Known for their glittering sailor suits, The Showbears gained further recognition when they were joined on stage by TV comedian David Walliams in the final. Apart from his talent show appearance, Read had a successful career as a musician and musical director. Tributes have poured in for the late performer, with friends and colleagues mourning his loss.
