Union Minister Nitin Gadkari assures Telangana's Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao that the double-decker cable-stayed bridge connecting Somasila in Telangana with Sangameshwar in Andhra Pradesh will commence its tender process in September. The delayed Rs 1,082.56 crore project is expected to reduce travel distance to Tirupati by 70-80 km, saving 90 mins of travel time and promote temple tourism. Gadkari also agreed to upgrade a 203.5 km road from Alampur to Nalgonda into a national highway.
