The UK's former largest indoor water park, Wet 'n' Wild in North Shields, may be demolished due to recurrent break-ins and anti-social behavior. Bloom Developments LTD submitted plans to North Tyneside Council for demolition, with the future development of the site dependent on approval. The park closed in 2019 and was sold in 2020, raising hopes of revival; however, its condition has deteriorated since.
