Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma hospitalized with typhoid and scrub typhus; initially treated at home but admitted to Shillong Civil Hospital due to persistent high fever. Vitals are within normal range and under medical supervision; unable to attend assembly session. Scrub typhus, a disease caused by bacteria, and typhoid, caused by Salmonella Typhi, are both life-threatening illnesses, usually spread through contaminated food or water.
