Max streaming service will premiere "Salem's Lot", an adaptation of Stephen King's vampire novel, in October. Written, directed, and produced by Gary Dauberman, the film stars Lewis Pullman as Ben Mears, who discovers his hometown is overrun by an undead army led by the centuries-old Austrian vampire, Kurt Barlow. This is the third adaptation of the story, following 1979 and 2004 TV miniseries adaptations.
