LA Metro transit saw a 20th consecutive month of year-over-year ridership growth in July, with an 8.2% increase compared to the same month last year. This included a 9.84% rise in bus ridership and a 3.23% increase in rail boardings. The rise in ridership was attributed to events like concerts, festivals, and sporting events, as well as the completion of the downtown Regional Connector project. LA Metro's reduced-fare transit pass programs, GoPass and Low-Income Fare is Easy, also contributed to the growth.
