Hawaii couple sells car rental business to join a circumnavigating residential cruise ship.
Lanette Canen and Johan Bodin, a couple from Hawaii, sold their car rental business to move onto Villa Vie Odyssey, a residential cruise ship with 509 cabins that plans to circumnavigate the world every 3.5 years, visiting 147 countries and 425 destinations. The ship's departure has been delayed by three months due to aging rudder stocks and recertification, but the couple, who first met on a cruise, is excited to run their businesses remotely and explore the ship's amenities.
