Delta Air Lines COO Mike Spanos to leave next month, successors to report to CEO Ed Bastian.

Delta Air Lines COO, Mike Spanos, is set to leave the company next month to join another firm, according to a memo from CEO Ed Bastian. Spanos had informed Bastian earlier this summer that he was considering other opportunities. Delta Air Lines has not yet commented on Spanos' departure, which follows thousands of flight cancellations due to a global cyber outage. The airline does not plan to replace Spanos, with John Laughter and Allison Ausband reporting directly to CEO Bastian.
