China and Mauritius have partnered on an underwater reforestation project led by Huawei and Mauritius's EcoMode Society. The joint initiative successfully cultivated and transplanted 25,000 coral fragments over 1.01 sq km, using technology such as underwater cameras, GPS receivers, and 5G to monitor reef health. The project aims to revitalize coral reefs, crucial habitats for marine life, and educate the public on reef conservation and restoration.
