Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission (CEC) confirms 991 candidates for upcoming snap parliamentary elections on September 1. Over 6.516 million ballot papers have been printed, each listing all candidates. Deputy Chairman Rovzat Gasimov reports the election campaign is calm and orderly. President Ilham Aliyev scheduled the election on June 28 after dissolving the sixth convocation of the parliament.
