20-year-old Mitchell C. Howard died in a car crash in northwest Kansas on Thursday. His 1997 Ford passenger car left Atwood Cemetery Road, hit a concrete bridge pillar, and spun 90 degrees counterclockwise before coming to rest in a ditch facing north. The incident occurred at 8:30 pm, and the Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
