The USPS proposes cuts of $3bn per year from 2025, aiming for a $30bn reduction in costs over the next decade. Changes include adjustments in mail delivery times while retaining the commitment to a max 5-day delivery for the flagship Ground Advantage program nationwide and a max 3-day delivery for local first-class mail. Proposed adjustments aim to improve efficiency and address an 80% drop in first-class mail since 1997, as well as overcoming $87bn in losses from 2007-2020.
