Turkey and Russia resumed joint ground patrols in northeast Syria, aiming for stability and border security.
Turkey and Russia have resumed joint ground patrols in northeast Syria, according to Türkiye's defense ministry. The patrols, involving four armored vehicles and 24 personnel, aim to establish stability in the region, ensure Turkey's border security, and demonstrate cooperation in fighting terrorism. The patrols were halted last year due to security reasons and began in 2019 under a deal made by Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin.
