Taiwan's NSTC plans to invest NT$36bn over 5 years to make southern Taiwan a major tech hub. The project, part of President Lai's campaign, aims to grow AI technology and increase computation capacity to 480 petaflops by 2028. Investments include NT$12bn in computation capacity, NT$17bn in facilities & sites, and NT$7bn in talent & AI tech applications. The goal is to increase the value of relevant industries 10-fold by 2029.
