The Republic of Korea and Nepal's Ministry of Forests and Environment co-hosted a "2024 Seminar for Cooperation on Climate Change" on August 22, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. South Korea's role in global climate change efforts was praised by Nepal's Minister for Forests and Environment, Aain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri. The Republic of Korea's Ambassador, Park Taeyoung, emphasized the importance of policy development and inclusive policies to address climate change. Both countries pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation on environmental and climate issues, addressing challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
