Royal Mail failed to meet its 93% first-class mail delivery target in Q2, achieving 79.1%.

Royal Mail failed to meet its spring delivery targets for first-class mail between April and June, with only 79.1% arriving within one working day, missing the 93% target set by Ofcom. The company is taking measures to improve its delivery time, including hiring more permanent staff, setting up a quality control center, and implementing new rules on sick leave. Royal Mail is also adapting to declining letter volumes and increasing demand for larger parcels and next-day deliveries, by transitioning more mail transportation to road.
