In Q2 2024, New Zealand's retail sales fell by 1.2% after adjusting for inflation and seasonal factors, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of decline, according to Stats NZ. Eleven out of fifteen retail industries experienced lower sales volumes compared to March 2024, with the largest contributors to the decline being a 6.0%, 2.7%, 1.9%, and 4.1% drop.
