6 organizations receive sponsorships in Avid's 4th year initiative promoting under-represented grassroots talent globally.

Avid Learning Collective, in collaboration with the Avid Community Association (ACA), awarded sponsorships to six organizations, marking the fourth year of the program. The initiative aims to promote under-represented grassroots talent in the media and entertainment industry globally. Since its 2021 launch, 24 community education organizations have been supported. The selected 2024 sponsorship recipients are Black Women in Post Production, Instituto Criar, KORP Foundation, Queens Defenders, South Georgian Bay Media Association, and YR Media. The sponsorship package includes membership in Avid's Learning Partner Program, software licenses, staff training, and course materials and certifications for students. The application period for the 2025 program will run from November 1st to December 31st, 2024.
