DOJ sues Georgia Tech for alleged cybersecurity non-compliance in DoD contracts.
The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Georgia Institute of Technology, claiming the university failed to meet federal cybersecurity requirements in its Department of Defense contracts. The case, part of the DOJ's Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative, alleges that Georgia Tech exhibited a pattern of non-compliance with cybersecurity regulations, lacked anti-malware tools on computers and networks, and submitted a fraudulent cybersecurity assessment score. Georgia Tech denies the allegations and remains committed to strong cybersecurity practices.
