Denmark Grocery store owner was shot during a robbery attempt on August 6th, 8 p.m., at 59 Magnolia Ave, but no items were stolen. The store owner recovered in the hospital. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) joined the investigation, released surveillance images, and appealed for public information via (866) 472-8477 or tips@sled.sc.gov. The incident is part of a larger wave of violent crime in the CSRA region, particularly in Augusta.
