21 Aug 2024: Twifo Praso SHS students arrested for lynching local spiritualist, Abdul Latif, over phone theft accusation.
Two Twifo Praso Senior High School students were arrested on 21st August 2024 for the lynching of a local spiritualist, Abdul Latif, after he accused one of them of stealing a junior student's phone. When Latif identified the student, a group of around 10 students attacked and severely beat him. The police discovered the body, took it for an autopsy, and prevented further violence in the area.
