Allahabad High Court stays execution of AAP leader Sanjay Singh's 2001 protest case sentence.

The Allahabad High Court has stayed the execution of a sentence awarded to AAP leader Sanjay Singh in a 2001 protest case, suspending his three-month imprisonment and Rs 1,500 fine imposed by the Sultanpur court. The MP-MLA court had convicted Singh for obstructing a public road and inciting violence during a protest. The high court has ordered that Singh should not surrender until its order on his bail plea is heard, while the case continues.
