Airlines increase flights over Afghanistan amid safer appearance compared to Iran-Israel conflict.

Airlines including Singapore Airlines, British Airways, and Lufthansa are increasing flights over Afghanistan as the Middle East conflict makes the region appear relatively safer compared to the skies between Iran and Israel. This shift began in mid-April during reciprocal missile and drone attacks between Iran and Israel. Airlines had previously avoided Afghanistan, as air traffic control services ceased when the Taliban took over three years ago. Despite unresolved air traffic control issues, airlines now view Afghan airspace as safer due to ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel.
