A house explosion in rural Excelsior Springs, Missouri on Friday left two adults and a dog dead, as the home was destroyed and on fire upon the arrival of deputies. The explosion also damaged other homes nearby and was felt for miles. The Clay County Sheriff's Department is leading a criminal investigation, but as of now, there is no evidence of foul play. The Missouri Propane Commission is on the scene to investigate, as homes in the neighborhood run on propane. The identities of the deceased will be released after next-of-kin notifications are completed.
