6-year-old Milly-Rose Stirrup died from an undiagnosed genetic condition, rhabdomyolysis, after contracting a stomach bug. The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital found missed opportunities in her care but concluded they didn't contribute to her death. Milly's family hopes to raise awareness and improve symptom assessment and treatment to prevent similar tragedies. The LPIN1 gene mutation, causing the rare condition, was only identified posthumously.
