9-year-old boy killed in wrong-way crash on Long Island's Southern State Parkway, with his mother accused of driving under the influence. The four-vehicle crash occurred on the eastbound Southern State Parkway near Exit 42 in Bay Shore. The mother, who was fleeing a traffic stop, continued driving the wrong way, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries for herself and the other occupants involved. The Suffolk County District Attorney and the state Attorney General's Office are investigating the accident.
