82-year-old French-Vietnamese Agent Orange victim Tran To Nga loses appeal against US chemical manufacturers at Paris Court of Appeal.

82-year-old French-Vietnamese woman Tran To Nga, a victim of Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin, has lost her appeal against US chemical manufacturers at the Paris Court of Appeal. Despite the rejection, Nga, supported by left-wing parties and environmental activists, plans to take her case to France's highest appeals court, arguing that the Paris Court of Appeal held a conservative attitude that countered modern international and European law. The lawsuit, which has spanned 15 years, aims to seek justice for AO/dioxin victims in Vietnam, with Nga herself suffering from five out of the 17 diseases associated with dioxin exposure recognized by the US.
