TransLink warns West Coast Express may halt if Canadian rail strikes impact CP Kansas infrastructure.

TransLink warns that British Columbia's West Coast Express commuter train may halt operations if a strike affects Canada's two largest railways, Canadian National Railway Co. and Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd. The West Coast Express relies on rail infrastructure owned by Canadian Pacific Kansas, and if a strike occurs, TransLink would be unable to run the service. If the West Coast Express is disrupted, additional buses will be added to help commuters. A potential rail strike in Canada could disrupt transportation of $1 billion worth of goods daily.
