Rivers State Governor revives Neighbourhood Watch for community-based security and oil theft combat.

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, intends to revive the state's Neighbourhood Watch, a community-based security organization established by the previous administration. Despite facing a lack of government funding, the Neighbourhood Watch has maintained 1,150 personnel across 23 local government areas. Governor Fubara has assured the security group of his support to revive the agency, which focuses on combating oil theft within their localities.
