President Joe Biden's new "Keeping Families Together" program has granted parole in place to an undocumented Mexican immigrant named Cecilia, allowing her to apply for permanent legal residence without leaving the country. Cecilia, who applied within 20 minutes of the USCIS form's release, received approval within 24 hours. The program, expected to benefit around 500,000 noncitizen spouses and 50,000 children, aims to keep families together without forcing spouses to leave the country for up to a decade.
