Nestlé has appointed Laurent Freixe as its new CEO, effective September 1, as current CEO, Mark Schneider, steps down after eight years. Freixe, a Nestlé veteran of 37 years and 16-year member of its executive board, will take over amid challenges such as a cost-of-living crisis affecting its customers, with shares having dipped 8%. Freixe has held various positions of increasing responsibility across different businesses, markets, and zones during his tenure at Nestlé.
