Japanese Canadian newspaper The New Canadian, essential during WWII, is saved from digital deletion after supporters sign a petition urging SFU Library to maintain its archives. The 1938-2001 publication served as a community pillar during internment, asset confiscation, and patriotism challenges. SFU Library will keep the archive accessible online until an alternative platform is found.
