700 IVF patients reach $56m settlement with Monash IVF over destroyed embryos due to flawed genetic testing.

700 former IVF patients reached a $56m settlement with Monash IVF over destroyed embryos due to flawed genetic testing. The class action lawsuit, led by Margalit Injury Lawyers, claimed that around 35% of embryos found to be abnormal through the company's non-invasive genetic testing were actually normal, potentially leading to viable pregnancies being destroyed. The settlement requires approval from the Victorian Supreme Court. Monash IVF Group has made no admission of liability but believes it is in the best interest of its patients and people to resolve the matter rather than go to trial.
