Ireland launches a national swimming strategy with €500k for local activators and €250m for local sports projects.

Ireland's government launches a new national swimming strategy, investing in indoor & outdoor facilities and increasing pool access, to capitalize on Paris Olympics success. The strategy includes recommendations for local authorities & €500k for local swimming activators. Minister of State for Sport Thomas Byrne announced €250m for local sports projects & €120m for large-scale projects, including a national velodrome & badminton center.
