Henderson City Council has approved $15.3m for a new early childhood education center in East Henderson's Cadence community. The 15,000 sq ft center, set to open in 2027, will have 7-9 classrooms for around 180 children and aims to address the city's shortage of preschool education centers. With less than half of preschool-aged children enrolled in programs, the center will offer scholarships for students living in downtown and eastside areas.
