Bucharest forecasts 5.8% hotel growth and 2,400 additional rooms between 2024-2026, outpacing CEE-6 average.

Bucharest is expected to lead Central and Eastern European (CEE) capitals in hotel growth between 2024-2026, with a 5.8% increase and 2,400 additional rooms, surpassing the average CEE-6 growth of 3.2%. This growth is attributed to new brands such as Corinthia, Swissotel, Mondrian, Adagio, Handwritten Collection, and The Crest Collection entering the market. Despite temporary market performance hiccups due to increased competitiveness, Bucharest is projected to fully recover and exceed 2019 levels of overnight stays by 3% by 2025, primarily driven by domestic overnight stays.
