Bangladesh's interim gov't, led by Nobel laureate Yunus, plans to sign the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance by August 30, following 700+ disappearances during the Sheikh Hasina government. The gov't will investigate each case and potentially form a commission to examine forced disappearances. Additionally, they seek to return laundered funds, including British and Japanese support, for their investigation.
