37-year-old Luke Johnson, under the influence of alcohol, crashed into a police car on the A1 highway while officers were removing a broken-down vehicle. One officer was injured, while the other narrowly escaped. Johnson, who admitted to a drinking problem, was more than three times the legal alcohol limit. He received a two-year driving ban, a £336 fine, a community order with a nine-day rehabilitation activity requirement, and was sentenced to a community order.
