28-year-old DeShone Bernard Rivers led Berkeley County deputies on a high-speed chase at 96mph in a 65mph zone, resulting in charges of failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving, driving under suspension (2nd offense), and unlawful transportation of liquor. Rivers' vehicle was found to contain 12g of marijuana and an open bottle of tequila. He claimed he did not stop because it was his birthday.
