Waitrose plans to invest £1bn in opening 100 new convenience stores and improving 150 existing ones across England, Wales, and Scotland. The expansion, which marks the first new openings in six years, will focus on innovations such as chilled departments for wine and beer, dry-aged beef cabinets, and dedicated parmesan sections. The first new store is set to open in Hampton Hill, London, later this year, followed by another in the capital early next year.
