US LNG developer NextDecade has withdrawn its application for the carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at its Rio Grande LNG facility in Texas, citing insufficient development for the project to continue. The CCS project at the facility has faced delays and setbacks, and NextDecade remains committed to advancing and lowering the cost of CCS technology to help companies reduce emissions. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has been requested to terminate the proceeding.
