On Aug 17, a potential hate crime occurred in Ithaca's 100 block of Cascadilla Street. A white male suspect in his 20s-30s, with black curly hair, assaulted a victim while making derogatory comments about their gender identity. The suspect was last seen riding a black bike. The victim did not know the assailant. The Ithaca Police Department is investigating and seeking information on the case.
