Nigeria's Federal Government explores taking over Chuba Okadigbo International Airport in Ebonyi State.

Nigeria's Federal Government is in talks with Ebonyi State to take over the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport. The airport, commissioned in May 2022, has not yet started operations due to runway rebuilding costs and regulatory approvals. The state government has completed the runway resurfacing and awaits NCAA's approval for reopening. If successful, the airport will join other state-developed airports transferred to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
