New Zealand's Ministry for Regulation has launched a review of its agricultural and horticultural products regulatory framework. The aim is to streamline approval processes, reduce overlaps, and ensure regulations are economically justified and fit for purpose. The ministry has published an Economic Analysis Issues paper as part of the process and is encouraging feedback from stakeholders, particularly those in the agriculture and horticulture sectors, to help improve the regulatory system and cut unnecessary red tape.
