Jay Shah, BCCI General Secretary, is likely to replace Greg Barclay as the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman after gaining support from Australia and England, key members in the international cricket arena. Shah's potential nomination will be submitted by August 27, 2024, with the new Chair expected to take office on December 1, 2024. If elected, Shah would become the third Indian to hold the position, following Jagmohan Dalmiya and Sharad Pawar.
