150 Gujarat teachers dismissed since 2019 for unauthorized leave: Education Minister. Between 2019 and 2022, 134 govt school teachers in Gujarat were dismissed for being on unauthorized leave; none of them were paid salaries. 150 teachers in total have been dismissed for unauthorized absence since 2019. 16 teachers were recently dismissed for skipping work without permission. The state Education Minister, Kuber Dindor, mentioned actions have been taken against 130 teachers in the current year, including those absent for 3 months or more and those who were absent due to foreign tours.
