Former Maltese Economy Minister Chris Cardona testifies in a trial on alleged corruption regarding the VGH concession for Malta's public hospitals.
Former Maltese Economy Minister Chris Cardona testifies in the ongoing trial against former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and others, including ex-minister Konrad Mizzi and ex-chief of staff Keith Schembri, linked to alleged corruption in relation to the Vitals Global Healthcare (VGH) concession for Malta's public hospitals. Cardona, who initially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VGH, believes the MOU alone should have led to VGH's bid being rejected. The trial centers on allegations of bribery, corruption, and fraud in the Maltese government's privatization of state hospitals to VGH.
