FCT Minister Nyesom Wike initiated the restoration of the Abuja Master Plan in August 2023, aiming to transform the city into one of the best globally. Wike addressed revenue leakages, increased IGR, and secured approval to withdraw the FCTA from the Treasury Single Account. Within his first nine months in office, Wike completed several projects, including the official residence of the Vice President, the Abuja Rail Mass Transit system, and the Wuye interchange bridge. Ongoing projects are expected to be completed by December 2024, while three bus terminals have already been inaugurated.
