Belarus plans to grow economy at 4.1% by 2025 to address a 4.5 billion deficit and increase public sector labor costs and social spending.

Belarus, facing a 4.5 billion deficit in 2025, plans to grow its economy at a faster pace than global indicators by 2025, with an economic growth target of 4.1%. To address the deficit, the government will borrow domestically and from external sources. Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko also announced an increase in labor costs in the public sector by 14.7% by 2025, with an additional 14% increase in social spending, including education and healthcare.
