In Accra, Ghana, two men, Emmanuel Agyei and David Agyei, admitted to stealing local goats but denied involvement in the theft of nine foreign-breed goats worth $13,500 belonging to Seidu Yakubu. Both men pleaded guilty to conspiracy and theft charges, but insisted they stole local breed goats. A third man, Baba Musah, pleaded not guilty to the charge of dishonestly receiving stolen goods and was remanded into police custody. The court convicted the two admitted thieves and deferred their sentencing for later determination. Three other suspects remain at large.
